I’m all digging this apartment, it is really small and has good use of space, the kitchen are is awesome too.
Although the style of the place isn’t exactly my style, so my white would be difficult for me to keep clean :/
astro was telling me how she wished we owned this place we are living in right now, it isn’t perfect but it has tons of vertical space and could be transformed into something pretty cool.
Miami Vice Chase Rearranged Laurent Garnier Acid Eiffel (via ) YouTube
Youtube sure does have some shit on it, but it came up with the goods for having one of my all time favourite acid house tracks on it. Choice (aka Laurent Garnier) - Acid Eiffel . Shame the video cuts outs before the best bit of the track. I think this track was done in late ‘92 but released in ‘93
L.S.G. - hearts (via ) YouTube
When serp says he likes ‘Trance music’, this is what he means, german… trance… The stuff he grew up secretly listening to in a little country town in Victoria. You see, I couldn’t outwardly admit to listening to anything like this when I was in high school cause people thought I was nuts, people thought I was nuts without knowing half the shit I got up to, so it was simplier to keep the lid on this stuff.
Anyway, listen to it, as always with all L.S.G music, don’t get turned off by the techno beat if that isn’t your thing. Just listen to the ridiculous acid he was creating back then, which to be honest was pretty revolutionary and lead the way for a LOT of crap after it.
This track is actually a double edged sword in my psyche, on one side it is one of the saddest german trance tracks i’ve ever heard, and reminds me of some of the things I endured in my time in that town, but it also reminds me of the great times I had in Melbourne when I first started going there in high school. Oh well, enough dribble, just listen to it once, all the way through.
‘cause all the cool kids WILL be doing it!
This thing is so dumb, with poorly directed questions and ridiculous (and poorly worded) answers. I ended up getting the Labour Party to vote for first, and then the Liberal Party as a runner up, how does that work? Hm, maybe that is because the difference between the two major parties in this country is minuscule.
goddamn this dusty room
this hazy afternoon
i’m breathing in the silence like never before
this feeling that i get
this one last cigarette
as i lay awake and wait for you to come through that door
oh maybe, maybe, maybe i can share it with you
i behave i behave i behave so i can share it with you
you are not alone dear loneliness
you forgot but i remember this
so stranger, stranger, stranger things have happened i know
i’m not alone dear loneliness
i forgot that i remember this
so stranger, stranger, stranger things have happened i know, oh ohh, oh ohhh
you’ll dream about somewhere, a smoke will fill the air
i can change, i can change, i can change
but who you want me to be?
i’m the same, i’m the same, i’m the same, what do you want me to be?
you are not alone dear loneliness
you forgot but i remember this
so stranger, stranger, stranger things have happened i know oh ohh, oh ohh
i’m not alone dear loneliness
i forgot that i remember this
you’re not alone dear loneliness
you forgot but i remember this
oh stranger, stranger, stranger things have happened i know
i’m not alone dear loneliness
i forgot that i remember this
oh stranger, stranger, stranger things have happened i know oh ohh, oh ohh, oh ohhh
Foo Fighters - Stranger Things Have Happened. From ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’ Album.
The other day I decided to get all of the Foo Fighters albums for my iPod, I never really listened to any of their CDs past the first 2 albums (which were awesome). The other day I saw ‘The Pretender’ on Rage and instantly loved it, which is strange because the last couple of Foo Fighters songs I heard left me a little empty (Although perfectly great rock songs).
So yeah anyway, this track, it’s awesome, it’s acoustic, has feeling/atmosphere, it has good lyrics, and I hate to say it, feels a little ‘Nirvana’ inspired.
Reading through the wiki page above, it’s cool that Gil Norton is doing this album (The Colour and the Shape was a great album) and Pat Smear plays guitar on one song, Hooray!
FYI - Taylor Hawkins is awesome on drums in this new album. When is he ever not awesome?
FYI 2 - I’m not a fan of this entire album, just a few tracks, guess I need to give it time.
I guess I’ll just have to get this then.
Blade Runner Final Cut trailer (via YouTube)
Will they do a theatrical run in Australia for this? Currently running in the states since last Thursday I think.
I dunno why, but I have been reading these pages all weekend. For some reason they fascinate me, I was somewhat surprised that a lot of authors still write a lot of their work by hand and are early risers. What I wasn’t surprised by was the overwhleming amount of books they like to keep in their studies and their love of name dropping of certain art/items they have in their possession. A good read.
